SUMMARY:Bats on Tap!
DESCRIPTION:Dan Neubaum\, Wildlife Conservation Biologist with Colorado Parks & Wildlife\, will share his knowledge and the latest data on white-nose syndrome in Colorado\, as well as recent radiotracking work conducted at COLM to investigate fall roost use and discuss how Colorado bats use rock crevices of many shapes and sizes as roosts\, why they like them\, and what we continue to learn. \nDan grew up in Pueblo and earned his B.S. and M.S. in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University\, focusing on the ecology of bats. After fieldwork across the western U.S. and Australia and eight years with the USGS\, he has spent the past 17 years with Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Grand Junction as a Wildlife Conservation Biologist and Program Manager. When he’s not working with bats and other species of concern\, he’s exploring Colorado’s wild places with his wife and two sons.  \n Monument on Tap is a CNMA lecture series that takes the learning out of the park and into the community—supporting local voices\, shared knowledge\, and meaningful connection.    \nWe are very excited to partner with Colorado Craft Coffee and Beer House. For our event\, they have graciously offered 15% off all beverages for CNMA members. They do not have food on the menu\, but all outside food is allowed\, so please feel free to bring your dinner with you! There is some parking in the front and the sides of the building\, but we are allowed to park in the Jimmy John’s parking lot as well.  \nDetails:      \n\nDate: Thursday\, October 30th 6:00 pm-7:30 pm \n\n\nTime: Arrive at 6:00 PM to order a beverage. Lecture will start at 6:30 PM   \n\n\nLocation: Colorado Craft Coffee and Beer House- 1144 N. 12th Street\, Grand Jct.\, CO \n\n\nRegistration: Please make an RSVP for each attendee.   \n\n
