Geology Hike in Lower Monument Canyon Trail — 10/18/2025
October 12, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Embark on a slow-paced journey designed to help you connect deeply with your surroundings and cultivate mindfulness.
Join us for a new program, Forest Bathing in Colorado National Monument. This program offers an opportunity for connection and mindfulness while out in nature.
Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, originated in Japan and serves as a mechanism for enhancing mental health and overall well-being. This structured approach to engaging with nature offers a departure from conventional outdoor activities. Through simple yet intentional “invitations,” participants are guided to immerse themselves in the present moment, fostering a newfound appreciation for the natural world.
Access Upper Liberty Cap Trailhead from the Saddlehorn Visitor Center, turn left onto Rim Rock Drive and drive 6.4 miles (10.3 km) to the trailhead on the left.
