Colorado National Monument Association’s (CNMA) privacy policy overviews the kind of information collected through CNMA’s website (www.coloradonma.org), email and mailing sign-ups and any other offline collection, online donation forms, online park store, and other web properties and how we use this information.

By visiting the website, providing your information online or through offline collection, and/or receiving our emails and mailings from us, you accept the terms of this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue your use of CNMA’s website and unsubscribe from our email and mailing lists by following instructions below. If you are signed up for email and mailing updates you may unsubscribe at any time by emailing, calling or sending mail to us as directed below.
CNMA reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to make updates to this policy. Updates are effective immediately upon posting.

Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
When you sign up to be a supporter/member, make a donation, purchase a product from us (online or in the visitor center store), register for a CNMA event, subscribe to our email list, or engage with us online, CNMA may ask you for personal contact information such as your name, mailing address, phone number and email address. We may use this information to contact you to clarify or obtain additional information about an order you placed, a donation you made, an event or program you registered for or to provide you with a receipt; or to send you additional information about CNMA.
If you make a donation, we may contact you in the future to ask if you’d like to make another gift, or inform you of events or programs you may attend. You may also receive a personal call from a staff member or volunteer thanking you for your donation. You will always have the opportunity to opt-out of future communications from us.
Usage Data
CNMA may also collect information on how our website is accessed and utilized. This usage data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on each page, location of use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

CNMA uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our websites and we retain some of this information.

Email, Mail Subscriber and Donor Information
CNMA gives everyone the opportunity of signing up for our email and mailing list in order to receive information and newsletters.
Sign-ups require subscribers to provide their personal contact information that may include name, email address, mailing address, and other similar information. We store this personal information in a secure database.
We use this information to communicate with you. We also use this information to engage in our internal analyses and communication strategies, site audits, fraud monitoring, and development of new features, that will improve the website and allow us to assess how we are doing fulfilling CNMA’s mission.
CNMA also provides visitors the ability to support our work through an online donation portal. This information is stored in a secure database. We use it in order to: process and acknowledge your donation, determine whether it is on a one-time basis or reoccurring basis, engage in our internal analyses and that will allow us to assess CNMA’s success in achieving our mission.
To complete a donation through our donation portal, donors also must enter their credit card information into fields that are securely encrypted and processed.
Donors additionally may be added to our email and mailing lists unless they direct otherwise by opting out or contacting us as directed below, in which case we’ll use your personal information as described above.
Information Collected Through Online Park Store
CNMA operates an online store, rimrockshop.com. Purchasing any items on this website requires visitors to provide their name, contact information including email address, and credit card information that is securely encrypted and processed through a recognized third-party e-commerce platform provider, and only used to fulfill your request. CNMA also receives your name and contact information including email, which we store in a secure database. CNMA does not, itself, store or have access to any credit card information you submit here to complete your donation.
Individuals who make purchases through our online store additionally have the option to become a donor/member and/or sign up for our email and mailing lists, in which case we’ll use your personal information as described above.
We do not collect any other personally identifiable information through the website, or through our emails and mailings, unless you provide it to us. However, if you submit such information to us, you represent that you have the authority to do so and allow us to use it according to this privacy policy. If you give us false or inaccurate information, or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that your information is false or inaccurate, we have the right to suspend or terminate your access to the website, or to remove you from our email and mailing lists.
How We Share Your Information
CNMA reserves the right to share any non-personally identifiable information in any manner we determine is reasonable or necessary, including sharing it with third parties to better assess how the website is used and identify ways to improve it. An example of this information is statistics such as the number of website visits.
Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100 percent secure. Although we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

This is done only when absolutely necessary to protect and defend the rights or property of CNMA or to the public, to comply with legal obligation, to protect against legal liability and to prevent or investigate possible legal issues in connection with the websites or other services.
Children’s Privacy Policy
CNMA does not knowingly collect personal information from children (anyone under the age of 18). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personally identifiable information from a child without verification of parental consent, we will remove this information.
Cross-Border Transfer Notice
The website is controlled and operated by CNMA located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, you acknowledge and understand that any personally identifiable information you enter in our websites will be transferred to the United States, the laws of which your country may consider inadequate for data protection. How to Unsubscribe
You may unsubscribe from CNMA email and mail updates at any time, and we will attempt to make that process easy and obvious. Please notice the unsubscribe links that are included at the bottom of every email communication that we send. If you are unable to complete your request through our automated process, please contact us by emailing coloradonma.org, calling or by mailing a request to the address below.
Once you have unsubscribed, CNMA will put you on a “do not contact” list but we will retain your information for backup and archival purposes, including, without limitation, to maintain necessary records of donations and online park store transactions.
