The Colorado National Monument Association has invited 24 local, regional, and nationally recognized artists to come and paint at Colorado National Monument, as well as the surrounding BLM National Conservation Areas (NCAs) for the week. Artists will be painting anywhere in the monument, McInnis Canyons (NCA), Rabbit Valley, and the Dominguez-Escalante Canyons (NCA). The artists will then have an exhibition starting Friday, October 6th and running through Sunday, October 8th at the Carlson Vineyards Tasting Room on the 5th block of Main Street, downtown Grand Junction. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to benefit Colorado National Monument’s youth and educational programs, scientific research, and National Park Service special projects.
