Explore the Majesty of Desert Bighorn Sheep with Don Regan
Join retired geologist and former park ranger Don Regan for an unforgettable hike into the heart of desert bighorn sheep territory. Discover these magnificent creatures, renowned for their powerful horns and incredible ability to thrive in challenging environments.
While the thrill of spotting bighorn sheep is a highlight, remember that nature operates on its own schedule. This 5-mile, 4-5 hour moderately strenuous hike offers a chance to immerse yourself in the Monument’s stunning scenery, regardless of wildlife sightings. Bring binoculars or a spotting scope to maximize your viewing experience, along with ample water, snacks, layers, and a packed lunch.
