Science backs up our view that nature is good for your mental and physical health! That's why we create events and programs to bring in people from all backgrounds - get out, get involved and reap the benefits of being in nature!
March 1 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for an exploration of artistic evolution from raw landscapes to refined studio pieces.
In a celebration of creativity and nature’s grandeur, From Canyons to Canvas promises to captivate audiences with studio pieces born from the 2023 Monuments and Canyons Plein Air Event. This unique showcase provides a platform for artists to unveil their larger and more refined creations inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado National Monument and the surrounding Bureau of Land Management (BLM) areas.
Following the immersive 2023 Plein Air Event held last October, participating artists returned to their studios, prepared not only with sketches and memories but also with a newfound perspective shaped by the raw beauty of nature. The upcoming exhibit provides a glimpse into the evolution of these works, showcasing the transformation from on-site impressions to meticulously crafted studio pieces.
Proceeds from sales go to help support various programs for both the Art Center of Western Colorado and the Colorado National Monument Association.
