Investigating Insects in the Monument

Join Ranger Raven for an engaging and educational presentation exploring what insects are, how to identify them, and learn some of the fascinating insect species found right here in the Monument!

Ranger Raven Patrick completed a Bachelor’s in Biology from CMU back in 2023, where her work took her all the way from Alaska to the Amazon Rainforest. Recently, she completed a Master’s in Entomology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. When she’s not out looking for bugs, she spends her free time hanging out at home with her fiancé and two dogs while watching movies, creating 3D models, and selling sourdough bread.

Monument on Tap is a CNMA lecture series that takes the learning out of the park and into the community—supporting local voices, shared knowledge, and meaningful connection.
