Confluence Center Grand Opening! — 11/05/2025

Join local artist, Cedar Keshet for an evening of exploring nocturne art and sky gazing at Saddlehorn Picnic Area
Join local artist, Cedar Keshet for an evening of exploring nocturne art and sky gazing at Saddlehorn Picnic Area parking lot. A moonlit night can bring peaceful quiet and mystery. Both feelings are evoked in nocturnes, or paintings depicting nightfall lit by the moon, stars and lamplight.
We’ll be creating simple nocturne artwork with supplies provided by our artist, Cedar Keshet. No previous art skills are required, just a willingness to have fun and try a new activity. If you would like to make a donation to Cedar for her art supplies, please Venmo her @PleinAirCedar .
It will be the New Moon on the 23rd of August which will provide perfectly dark skies—ideal for stargazing! We’ll be sharing our space with the National Park Service’s Night Sky Program, so come ready to explore the wonders of the night sky through expert-led activities, telescope viewing, and more. Please park on the far east side of the parking lot to reduce light pollution.

Note: Park passes are required. Carpooling is encouraged. The event may be cancelled or postponed due to the weather.
