Latino Conservation Week Celebration — 09/15/2024
Science backs up our view that nature is good for your mental and physical health! That's why we create events and programs to bring in people from all backgrounds - get out, get involved and reap the benefits of being in nature!
October 4 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
On view will be the completed works of 20 plein air artists who have spent the week painting our beloved landscapes.
Join us for the Opening Night of the 8th Annual Monuments and Canyons Plein Air Exhibit! It promises to be an enjoyable evening that celebrates the intersection of art and nature. Hosted at the Carlson Vineyards Tasting Room, this event brings together art lovers, community members, and supporters of the Colorado National Monument.
Engage with the 20 talented plein air artists who have spent the week painting the stunning landscapes of the Colorado National Monument, surrounding BLM areas, and the Grand Mesa. Learn about their inspiration, techniques, and the stories behind their works.
Be among the first to see the completed pieces, each capturing the raw beauty and unique essence of western Colorado. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase these original artworks, with proceeds benefiting the Colorado National Monument’s education programs, scientific research, and special projects.
The opening reception is open to the public and the exhibit will remain open until Sunday, October 6th.
