Who's Been Here? Tracking Wildlife in Winter
Discover the Western Slope's Natural Wonders with Dr. Bruce Bauerle
Join us for an exploration of Western Slope ecology, led by local biologist Dr. Bruce Bauerle. With over four decades of experience teaching at Colorado Mesa University, Dr. Bauerle has a deep understanding of our region’s unique flora and fauna. During this informative presentation, Dr. Bauerle will share how to to recognize an assortment of animal tracks, signs, birds, trees, and other natural features. If weather permits, following the presentation, we’ll embark on a short walk around the Visitor’s Center to apply our newfound knowledge.
Dr. Bruce Bauerle is a retired biology professor from Colorado Mesa University. He has over 40 years of experience teaching and has traveled extensively. Dr. Bauerle is a skilled public speaker and has presented to a variety of audiences in Western Colorado.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable walking shoes, layers and a warm coat
- Water
- Sunscreen
