COLORADO NATIONAL MONUMENT ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES MATCHING GRANT CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT MONUMENT PRESERVATION AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Colorado National Monument Association (CNMA) is excited to announce a special matching grant campaign in partnership with the Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF). This unique campaign, running from September 1 to October 18, 2024, presents an extraordinary opportunity for supporters to double their impact in preserving and enhancing Colorado National Monument.
This campaign coincides with CNMA’s 60th anniversary, a milestone that marks six decades of dedicated stewardship and community involvement. Donations made during this period will be matched dollar for dollar up to $60,000, providing vital funds for critical projects, including trail maintenance, historic preservation, education programs, the internship fund, resource stewardship, amplifying tribal voices, and the Resiliency Ranger program.
“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to give the monument unprecedented support,” said Johanna van Waveren, Executive Director of CNMA. “The needs of Colorado National Monument continue to grow, and CNMA, along with our community, is striving to meet these needs so we can continue to preserve our backyard National Park and bring educational and resiliency programming to the public. We couldn’t do this without partners like the Western Colorado Community Foundation and other members of our community.”
This matching grant campaign is a rare and powerful opportunity to maximize the impact of every contribution. As CNMA continues to support multiple projects ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 annually, this additional funding will significantly enhance our ability to meet the growing needs of the monument and its visitors.
