Western Colorado has an incredible variety of habitats and a wonderful diversity of plants species. This presentation will highlight various botanical projects from throughout western Colorado including floristic studies in McInnis Canyon National Conservation Area, investigation of a rare sego lily, and studies of plant diversity in Ouray County.
Stephen Stern has been a professor of biology at Colorado Mesa University since 2011. He enjoys teaching students and the public about the amazing plants of Colorado and beyond. When he is not botanizing, he enjoys spending time in the amazing landscapes of Colorado on foot, bike, or skis.
